cardigan felt his stomach lurch. "um, i'm not feeling very good."

foxy nodded, her face pale. "i'm feeling nauseous again, too."

the both grabbed their tummies and hurried for the bank of the river, reaching it just in time to throw themselves down on the bank and heave.

and heave.

and heave.

in fact, they didn't lift themselves up onto shaky legs until the sun had set. "think you can make it back?"

foxy shuddered, then nodded. "i have to. at least i don't have anything left to heave up, and then danny can take care of us."

cardigan nodded. "if i know danny, he'll have chicken soup ready for us."

they made their way back the time machine in total defeat, climbing back into the dreaded contraption knowing that somebody else would have to rescue mr. franklin.
