CYA: Boom-Boom & Linda Get Up To Speed

linda picked her way through the downtown traffic, finally managing to take an on-ramp onto the freeway.

"come on, let's go!"

linda pressed her foot into the floor as she weaved in and out of varoius lanes. when the speedometer needle reached 80 mph, she told boom-boom, "hold on. we're almost there!"

three seconds later, there was a bright flash and then the car was hurdling at 88 mph through a vacant field. both women screamed, then hurriedly changed their screams into a grimace as linda brought the runaway car to a stop.

as soon as they caught their breath, boom-boom whipped out a notebook and begin to write in it.

"what are you doing--keeping a diary?"

boom-boom tore off the page and handed it to linda, who looked at it and exclaimed, "a ticket?! you gave me a freakin' speeding ticket?!"

"the law is the law, and you broke it," boom-boom informed her as she opened the door and got out of the car. "now, where the hell are we?"
