Crescent Rolls

not (insert phlegmy french accent here) croissants, but crescents. not out of a can, but by hand. pretty dinner rolls, and rather unusual. i got this recipe from the King Arthur flour webpage, but i made some changes. yes, i did! that must mean i'm getting good at this bread thing. i can say that 'cause these crescents are gooooood. kinda unusual with the addition of ground coriander. i left that in. but instead of using shortening, i used half shortening, half butter. and instead of vanilla or fiori di sicilia (whatever the hell that is), i used my malted barley syrup. hey, it's a huge jar and i've only used it for bagels so far--i have to find some way to use it up! turns out i'm a genius. these rolls are the softest i've ever made, and have a nice depth of flavor. another hit. yay me :)
