CYA: The Judge & The ChronoGuard Stay On Course

"are you going to answer it?" the judge asked.

ChronoGuard Ben shook his head. "no. i doubt it could be a bigger emergency than saving me. let's go!"

he closed his eyes and they faded away, only to reappear inside a building in boston university in 1876.

the judge looked around. "that's it? no lights, sounds, or vomit involved?"

"no, your honor. nothing that dramatic--ungh!"

the judge watched in astonishment as ChronoGuard Ben's face froze and he fell forward onto his face, a black dart sticking up from the back of his neck.

"oh, no." he looked up to see the black darter lowering the blow gun from his face.
