Christopsomos


this is a greek celebration bread, and the recipe is from reinhart's BBA. it's freakin' huge. and really, really good. see how shiny it is? the glaze is a simple syrup with honey (and a little free-lance tangerine juice). the bread is sweet and spicy (cinnamon, allspice, cloves, nutmeg) and fruity (golden raisins and dried cranberries and lemon & tangerine zest), and the glazes adds a little extra sweet chewiness. the greeks, they know how to celebrate, i'd say.
